From Hong Kong to Singapore: Liberty Group Opens 11 Westside in Asia Square

Liberty Group, Hong Kong’s premiere food and beverage hospitality company with a diverse portfolio of fine dining, casual concept bars, and specialty cafés across the region has opened one of the group’s popular concept from Hong Kong in Singapore.

11 Westside, a vibrant, contemporary California-Mexican restaurant and craft cocktail bar that specialises in authentic, Los Angeles-style Mexican street food joins the groups growing stable of Liberty Group concepts in Singapore that includes Qi – House of Sichuan, Forbidden Duck, Liberty Singapore, and Ho Tak Kee.

Korean-Canadian Chef Yong Soo Do anchors the debut of 11 Westside Singapore. As Liberty Group’s culinary lead, his signature ingredient-focused, Asian-Western style has defined many of the group’s top venues. Chef Yong is also currently one of the contestants on Game of Flame: 100 Chefs Battle (炙热游戏:百厨大战), one of China’s largest culinary competition series featuring close to 100 professional chefs.

To execute this vision, Chef Yong builds upon the original menu foundation co-developed with Chef Esdras Ochoa, the Mexican-born chef whose Baja California roots gave the brand its original LA street-soul DNA. Together, their synergy balances rich heritage with modern accessibility. It is a thoughtful approach designed specifically for a discerning Singapore audience, one that delivers uncompromised authenticity alongside a genuinely fun dining experience.

The menu beautifully reflects a commitment to only using fresh ingredients and traditional Mexican flavours. Must try include their signature Al Pastor Taco, achiote marinated pork with grilled pineapple, salsa roja, onion and cilantro handmade tortilla. Seafood lovers will enoy the Baja Fish Taco, beer-battered fish with cabbage slaw, pico de gallo and chipotle aioli.

For starters, we enjoyed the Guacamole, fresh avocado mashed infront of your eyes mixed with lime, onion, cilantro and chilli and served with crispy tortilla chips. The yellowtail ceviche, using only fresh yellowtail and cured in citrus with tomato, onion, avocado and chilli is another of our favourite.

Other popular items include their Quesadilla and Grilled Items such as Fire Roasted Chicken, Steak Sonora, grilled wagyu served with handmade tortillas and side which are perfect for sharing.

The beverage programme, curated by Daniel Eun, founder of 11 Westside Hong Kong and former Head Bartender of the legendary Please Don’t Tell (PDT) in New York City is concocted around agave spirits and sour-style cocktails which will pair perfectly with the dishes served here. Signature cocktails include Lower Merion and Dear Basketball, alongside classics like the Strawberry Mezcalita and Smoky Tajin Margarita.
