Inside “The Vault”: Changi Airport’s World of Wines and Spirits 2026 unveils its rarest collection yet
Changi Airport Group‘s World of Wines & Spirits (WOWS) marks its fifth edition this year with “The Vault,” a curated collection of more than 60 exceptional wines and spirits drawn from over 30 renowned brands, presented in partnership with LOTTE Duty Free. True to its name, the theme leans into the idea of a private repository safeguarding some of the world’s rarest bottles of golden elixir.
The annual event will take place on 16 and 17 October at JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, where the venue transforms into a multi-dimensional showcase spread across five distinct zones, each built around the character and craftsmanship of its featured spirits. Guests can expect an opening performance alongside a caviar canapé experience paired with cognac and whisky tastings, curated in collaboration with Kaluga Queen, the world’s largest caviar producer. In the lead-up, masterclasses hosted by Fettercairn and The Macallan will offer invited guests a closer look at selected expressions, alongside private preview sessions ahead of the main event.
Among the standout expressions is The Dalmore Cask Curation Series: The Madeira Cask Edition, the fourth and final release in a series that has explored The Dalmore’s multi-cask maturation heritage since 2023. This edition involved a close collaboration with Blandy’s Madeira, a family-run producer with two centuries of winemaking history, resulting in a trio of single malts aged 30, 34, and 45 years, each shaped by a different style of Madeira cask. Limited to just 150 sets worldwide, one set will be available at WOWS for S$64,000.
Fettercairn, meanwhile, brings Fettercairn The Vanguard Series Rare 30 Years Old, the second release in a three-part collection built to push the boundaries of flavour and provenance storytelling. This expression captures the atmosphere of autumn at the distillery, with only 97 bottles released globally and just five available for purchase at the event, priced at S$4,050 each.
At the very top end of the collection sits The Macallan Red Collection, comprising three ultra-rare age statements: 71, 74, and 78 years old all matured for over seven decades in hand-picked oak casks and presented in a bespoke case with each bottle housed in its own oak box upholstered in red Scottish leather from Bridge of Weir. The full set is available exclusively at WOWS for S$368,200.
Alongside it, Tales of The Macallan Volume II: distilled in 1949 and bottled in 2022 to mark 200 years of The Macallan’s history, the 73-year-old single malt is presented in a hand-crafted crystal decanter by Lalique, with a single bottle available at S$114,000.
Beyond the bottles themselves, WOWS 2026 introduces its first-ever Grand Draw, giving qualifying guests the chance to win a 4D3N Kaluga Queen Caviar Experience in Hangzhou, complete with a behind-the-scenes look at caviar production, an expert-led tasting across different years and species, and a champagne-paired caviar afternoon tea overlooking Qiandao Lake. Every purchase made during the WOWS period through 17 October earns an entry, with no minimum spend required, and the winner will be announced in November. Mastercard cardholders get an added incentive too, qualifying for a complimentary set of two Christofle Old Fashioned Crystal Glasses (worth S$540) with a minimum spend of S$5,000, while other patrons can claim the same gift at a S$7,000 spend threshold.
