Launching exclusively for the very first time at Crystal Jade’s casual dining brand Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao i12 Katong outlet as well on Deliveroo, vegans can now enjoy Crystal Jade’s popular northern Chinese specialties with the launch of seven new dishes using meat-free Impossible Pork.
Savour delicious classic favourite dishes such as Pan-fried Shanghai Impossible Pork and Vegetable Bun, Mini Impossible Wanton, Impossible Mapo Tofu, Signature Small Bowl Dan Dan La Mian with Impossible Pork and Wok-fried French Bean, Eggplant and Impossible Pork with Lao Gan Ma Sauce without the guilt. All dishes are using the nutritious plant-based pork which is more sustainable and more delicious than your usual pork.
Aside from the classic favourites, the new Impossible menu at Crystal Jade include the Must Try! Steamed Impossible Bak Kut Teh Xiao Long Bao inspired from Singapore’s iconic dish Bak Kut Teh. The Xiao Long Bao is made with Impossible Pork and marinated in herbs and spices.
Another favourite is the Sautéed Minced Impossible Pork with Basil served with Romaine Lettuce, the plant-based sustainable pork is sautéed with a slight caramelisation at the edges, and provides a burst of flavour, with fresh romaine lettuce adding a refreshing crunch.
“Families in Singapore know and love Crystal Jade for our modern take on classic Chinese cuisine,” shares Chef Martin Foo, Group Executive Chef, Crystal Jade Culinary Concepts Holding.
“As consumer demand for plant-based options grows, we’re excited to work with Impossible Foods to develop more sustainable alternatives that still retain the familiar and tasty flavours of everyone’s favourite recipes for diners.”
The Crystal Jade Impossible menu will be available at all Crystal Jade outlets in Singapore later this year.
