Hot! Shake Shack Singapore Launches its First Outlet in the West!

Since launching its first outlet at Jewel Changi Airport in 2019, Shake Shack Singapore has launched new outlets across the island in rapid succession. Its newest outlet in Westgate will be its 8th outlet and first outlet in the West.

As a westie, I’m glad that fellow Shake Shack fans in the West will no longer have to make the commute to the east to sink our teeth in those golden brioche buns and tender juicy meat patties.

The Westgate outlet will be hard to miss with its beaming signboard that is sure to catch the eye of every shopper that passes through the courtyard of the first floor and even those that momentarily glance from above.

The interior of the outlet is elevated with a collaboration with Singaporean visual artists Ink and Clog Studio. The partnership entails vibrant murals that contain abstract forms, shapes and line encapsulated in typography. The design embraces the vision of the outlet as a space to gather communities and to celebrate the arts and philosophy.

The design certainly speaks to the fine-casual concept of Shake Shack which prizes the use of premium ingredients while embodying its roadside burger DNA. To celebrate their launch at Westgate, they will be launching a limited-time Black Truffle menu featuring the Black Truffle Burger that has both a beef and chicken option, as well as the Black Truffle Fries.

Truffle Burger

As we sank our teeth into the Black Truffle Beef Burger, we were impressed with the subtle but noticeable flavours of the black truffle sauce elevating an already rich and beefy burger. Made with all-natural 100% Angus beef, it is topped with swiss cheese, crispy fried shallots, fresh arugula.

Chicken lovers, fret not. You can opt to upgrade the classic Chick’n Burger to the Black Truffle version which comes topped with fresh arugula and house-pickled shallots. Think tender juicy chicken with a rich and complex flavour after being paired with black truffle sauce.

Crinkle Cut fries

In case you haven’t had enough truffle goodness, the signature Crinkle Cut fries also have the option to be topped with the rich black truffle sauce, crispy shallots and a sprinkle of fresh scallions. There are truffle fries that simply spray truffle oil. But Shake Shack’s truffle fries is guaranteed to floor you with the force of their truffle sauce coupled with the incredibly crisp fries.

Peelin’ Cherry-fic concrete

Unique to the Westgate outlet is an exclusive Peelin’ Cherry-fic concrete, somewhat like a classic banana split. The concrete is a blend of high-powered ingredients such as fresh bananas, crunchy sugar cone shards and Lemuel chocolate chunks made by home-grown Singaporean bean-to-bar chocolate maker, Ronald Ng. This is a dessert with a slab full of rich chocolatey flavors and fruity aromas, almost suitable to be a meal on its own.

The cherry on top of the pie? 5% of sales from the Shack Attack concrete will be donated to Beyond Social Services, a non-profit dedicated to supporting youths and children from less privileged backgrounds. Now you can eat well and do good at the same time.

Westies, what are you waiting for? Head down to Westgate and start queuing to get your hands on the new black truffle menu items now. The Black Truffle menu will run at Westgate from 30 October till end December and at all other outlets from 4 November till end December.
