Hot! The Connoisseur Concerto’s Christmas Wonderland Menu Stars Turkey-Inspired Dishes and Decadent Log Cakes

In the name of the festive season, The Connoisseur Concerto has launched their limited edition Christmas menu items and delectable log cakes.

A must-have during the Christmas season, you can pick from three decadent log cake flavour. The Nutty Choco Fantasy is a guaranteed crowd pleaser at gatherings, with a thick Varhona milk chocolate mousse filled with caramelized peanuts and crunchy hazelnuts. The mousse gives the cake a touch of light sweetness, making this a creamy yet not too heavy cake. The Snowy Wonderland is an interesting take on white chocolate, with an earl-grey infused mousse with a inner core of mixed berries, yuzu marmalade, and praline crunch.

If you’re dining in, treat yourself to a splendid meal with tcc’s turkey-inspired dishes. The Christmas Wonderland menu can be ordered ala carte or as a 2 or 3 course meal, which allows you to sample both the main dishes and the cakes.

We would pick the Turkey Cordon Bleu as our main dish on our next trip back. The turnkey breast is rolled with smoked chicken ham and fried in crunchy panko bits, before being cut in half to let the French chestnut soubise ooze out. Served sitting in fragrant truffle mash, the dish also comes with a side of spinach salad and sautéed mushrooms.

For those who would like a little more carbs in their meal, the Angel Hair with Prawn & Turkey Paupiettes will satisfy your stomach. The pasta is tossed in a light seasoning and topped with tobiko, ikura and bonito flakes to get the full umami taste. On the side is three paupiettes, a prawn rolled into itself and stuffed with minced turkey and blanketed in an orange butter sauce, a tangy yet savory bust of flavour with every bite.

Along with the chilly weather comes a new appetizer that’ll warm you up. The Purple Sweet Potato & Leek Soup is a thick soup of sweet potatoes, leeks and braised Japanese long onion. The vibrant purple color might be a bit off-putting, but it tastes absolutely delicious and comforting at the same time, especially when dipped with the accompanying scallion butter toast.

Joining the beverage lineup is two Christmassy drinks – a Frosty Hojicha Frappe and the Red Rudolph Fizz. The Hojicha Frappe is a milky and creamy blend of tcc’s signature cold coffee brew and premium Hojicha, but it can be a bit too much if you don’t have a sweet tooth. The Red Rudolph Fizz is a refreshing cooler, filled with red and pink ingredients like apple juice, strawberry slices, and chunky guava bits – perfect as a palate cleanser or even to go with a slice of cake.
