Calling all pizza lovers – fulfil your cravings for a piping hot slice at the chic Alley on 25, located in Andaz Singapore! For two hours every Tuesday, from 6pm to 8pm, indulge yourself in unlimited servings of delectable handmade pizzas, paired with ice-cold bottles of Andaz Pilsners that are brewed exclusively in collaboration with local microbrewery Trouble Brewing.
At Alley on 25, the kitchen (or oven, rather) is helmed by Chef de Cuisine Raymond Chan, who has over 12 years of experience in Italian cuisine, and has worked under the tutelage of Michelin-starred Chef Osvaldo Forlino. Each thin-crust pizza is hand-made to-order with high-grade double zero flour from Italy, cooked in Alley on 25’s signature green Beech Oven, adapted with bricks and baking stones to cook the pizzas evenly at 300°C. Nothing can beat freshly made pizzas hot out of the oven – in fact, our table of four devoured nine pizzas!
Five flavours of pizzas are available, all freshly baked to order. For those who prefer the classics, go for the Margherita, where buffalo mozzarella is paired with juicy slices of Roma tomatoes and fragrant basil leaves. There is also the eponymous Mushroom, a tomato-based pizza topped with button mushrooms, shimeiji mushrooms and generous sprinklings of mozzarella. Both of these pizzas are also vegetarian-friendly!
Cheese-lovers will definitely enjoy the Quattro Formaggi, which literally means “four cheese” – with the crisp, thin-crust pizza oozing with a delectable mix of parmesan, mozzarella, blue cheese and taleggio. One of the favourites at our table, the rich combination of the cheeses paired ever so well with the light citrus hops of the Pilsner.
Another favourite was the Capricciosa, featuring ham, wild mushrooms, artichokes and olives; with the artichokes and olives providing a delightful crunch and brightness to each slice of pizza. The Diavola, topped with slices of spicy salami on a tomato base, was both delicious and dependable.
Of course, what’s a meal without dessert? Top up an additional top up of S$10++ for a choice of either the Berry Tiramisu or Flowy Rose Cake to end your night on a sweet note. We enjoyed the light, floral Flowy Rose Cake – remove the plastic layer for an Instagram-worthy “molten” moment!
